Sara Barbee, MSPT Sara Barbee, MSPT

Sara Barbee is a Physical Therapist with ten years experience working with pelvic disorders. She graduated from Duke University with a Master's of Science Degree in 1992. Sara has worked in California and Virginia in a variety of physical therapy settings before moving into the area of treating women's health disorders.

Jennifer Bissig, DPT Jennifer Bissig, DPT

Jenny is an Oregon native, born and raised in the beauty of Portland. She received her Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of San Francisco in 2001. After working for NLPT as an Aide, Jenny earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in 2005. Jenny began her PT career in Chicago, working in an Inpatient Acute Rehab setting which focused on Neurological Injuries. She then spent two years traveling the U.S. with her husband, a fellow PT, working in Home Health Care and Outpatient Sports Medicine Clinics.

Jenny believes that her work in several PT settings and communities has given her a holistic approach to care for her patients. She strives to understand not only a patient's current injury but also how it influences their quality of life. She enjoys working with all age groups, from young athletes to geriatrics and is enthusiastic about the opportunity to use her Neurological Rehab skills in an out-patient setting.

In her personal time, Jenny enjoys an active lifestyle with her family and friends. She relies on setting personal fitness goals to keep herself motivated and challenged. She enjoys pushing herself to compete in triathlons and local running events.

Vincent Blaney, MSPT Vincent Blaney, MSPT

Vince hails from Lansdale, Pennsylvania. He attended Misericordia University and completed his undergraduate degree and Master's degree of Physical Therapy in 1998. After receiving his degree he worked for four years, with three of the years managing a Sports Medicine Physical Therapy practice in New Jersey.

In 2002, Vince migrated West to Oregon when he joined the North Lake team. Since then he has enjoyed working closely with the Oregon City community. Vince's main areas of clinical interest include sports medicine, orthopedics, and post-surgical rehab.

Vince shares his home in SW Portland with his wife, Kerri and their son, Liam along with their small entourage of animals. In addition to immensely enjoying his profession, he enjoys being active in the great outdoors including: biking, running, whitewater kayaking and skiing. Vince also involves himself in the local Portland music scene as a musician.

Scott hails, PT Scott Casares, DPT

Scott hails from the central San Joaquin Valley of California, where he was raised to love sports and family. He became interested in Physical Therapy as a career after his rehabilitation from a lumbar spine injury in high school. Scott completed his undergraduate studies in Kinesiology and Spanish at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2003 and received his DPT from the University of Vermont in 2008. Following PT school, Scott and his wife, Whitney, moved to the Bay Area where he worked at a sports medicine focused clinic which allowed him to follow his second love of coaching football and working with elite-level sports teams. After three years, and Whitney's completion of her Pediatric residency at Stanford, Scott and Whitney moved to Portland in the pursuit of an increased sense of community and a new adventure!

Scott is looking forward to settling into the northwest lifestyle by attending local sporting events, exploring Oregon's outdoor activities, playing with his border collie Sadie, cooking, traveling with his beautiful wife, and discovering new Willamette Valley wine and beers.

Dominic Chambers, DPT Dominic Chambers, DPT

Dominic grew up in Bellingham, WA. He attended Gonzaga University where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science. He then went on to earn his Masters of Physical Therapy from The Ohio State. Currently, he is working on the completion of his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree with an emphasis in Sports Physical Therapy from University of St. Augustine.

Since graduating from PT school, Dominic has gained significant experience with a variety of orthopedic injuries, sports injuries, work related injuries and pediatric injuries. He enjoys working with patients of all ages and interests and particularly enjoys working with athletes. He uses his positive attitude and competitive nature to help patients return to their full functional ability and hopefully prevent further injuries in the future.

Dominic spends his free time catching any sporting event possible, particularly Buckeyes Football, Gonzaga Basketball, and Pilots Soccer. When he is not playing or watching sports, he is hanging out with friends or one of his many family members. As the oldest of seven siblings with over forty cousins, there is never a shortage of things to do!

Michael J. Choate, MSPT Michael J. Choate, MSPT

Michael graduated in 1992 from Duke University with his degree in Physical Therapy. He earned his undergraduate degree at Washington State University. He specializes in orthopedics, sports medicine and post-surgical rehab.

He also works extensively with cyclists and other endurance athletes and is a certified USA Cycling Level 2 coach. Michael works with numerous local sports teams at the high school, collegiate and professional level and is the official physical therapist for the Portland Timbers.

Michael loves spending time with his beautiful wife and daughters. He is an avid (and occasionally competitive) cyclist and is a sponsored adventure racer. He also enjoys many outdoor activities including fly fishing, backpacking and biking.

Brian Eubanks, MSPT Brian Eubanks, MSPT

Brian was born and raised in Gladstone, Oregon. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Oregon University then moved to Florida and received his Master's degree in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine.

Brian has enjoyed being a physical therapist for almost ten years, and has always prioritized giving patients quality care and valuable information that helps them lead healthier lifestyles once therapy is complete. It's important to Brian that North Lake Physical Therapy creates a welcoming environment that ensures recovery and healing. His career interests include working with people of all ages and physical abilities. Brian uses an eclectic blend of manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and McKenzie technique to facilitate healing in his clients. Brian enjoys the balance of working with both extremity injuries and problems of the spine.

In his personal time Brian enjoys climbing in the mountains and bike riding. He volunteers with the Mazamas organization, a local climbing group, to help teach climbing skills. He lives with his wife, Kari, in Sellwood.

Lindsey Farrer, DPT Lindsey Farrer, DPT

Lindsay graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis. Originally from Michigan, she is thrilled to be practicing Physical Therapy here in the beautiful northwest.

Her clinical interests are many but center around treating each person holistically and uniquely.

Lindsay loves the outdoors, and when not in the clinic, is likely found riding her bicycle or snowboarding.

Jessica Grzybowski, DPT Jessica Grzybowski, DPT

Jessica is a Midwest native, born and raised in southern Michigan. She received her B.A. in Human Biology at University of Michigan - Flint, and continued on to get her Doctorate in Physical Therapy there. She has traveled and lived on both coasts, spending some time in Massachusetts and Rhode Island before heading west to Oregon.

She feels that the West Coast is the perfect place to be for playing outside and enjoying local, fresh cuisine. During her free time she likes to cook, hike, do yoga, walk her dog, Cooper, and explore all the West Coast has to offer.

Jessica enjoys working with a diverse patient population, finding an interest and passion with a variety of conditions and age levels. She uses her active lifestyle and positive attitude to inspire patients to meet their goals and return to a healthy and pain-free quality of life.

Kelly Jones, DPT Kelly Jones, DPT

Kelly grew up in the Carolinas and obtained a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Elon University in 2007. After a short stay in Virginia she made her way to Portland, Oregon, which is now "home". She has worked in multiple settings with a focus on general orthopedics.

Kelly's passion is working with the knee and shoulder joints with patients of all age and activity levels. When she is not working she can usually be found outdoors with her family enjoying all the wonders that the NW has to offer. Kelly spends a lot of her indoor time playing keeper for multiple women's soccer teams. She has a strong commitment to the strengthening of female athletes and educating to reduce ACL injuries.

Colleen Kimoff, PT, Cert. MDT Colleen Kimoff, PT, Cert. MDT

Colleen was raised in Quebec, Canada and graduated from McGill University in Montreal in 1985. While in Canada, Colleen worked in a pediatric rehabilitation center, two university teaching hospitals and a dynamic private practice. Colleen joined the North Lake team in 1999 after her husband was transferred to Oregon. The result of this background is extensive experience in orthopedics across a wide range of diagnoses, ages and abilities. Colleen has pursued post-graduate clinical training in specific techniques including manual therapy and certiand certification in the McKenzie method (used world-wide to evaluate and treat problems of the neck, back and extremities). Colleen takes great delight in working with patients of all ages to empower them through education and individualized exercise to resolve their conditions while providing pain relief to support the process.

For many years, Colleen participated in equestrian sports and competed in show jumping. She now enjoys tennis, swimming, hiking and biking with her wonderful husband and daughters and their dog. Colleen volunteers at school, church and a non-profit community health center, viewing these activities along with her work as concrete opportunities to bring hope and positive change to people's daily lives.

Kyle Lesko, MSPT Kyle Lesko, MSPT

Kyle has a true PNW spirit, but his roots are in up-state New York. Following high school he attended Springfield College in Massachussetts where he received both his Bachelor's and his Master's degree in Physical Therapy. While at Springhe also played on the men's volleyball team for four years. With unlimited options after college, he moved to the northwest to check out the outdoor beauty that he had heard so much about. He knew immediately that the northeast was no longer for him, and took a job with North Lake Physical Therapy in 1996. Kyle worked seven years in the Lake Oswego clinic before transferring to the Canby clinic where he remains today. After thirteen years of working for NLPT, Kyle became a partner of the practice in 2009.

Outside of work, Kyle enjoys all the NW has to offer. His favorite pasttime is backpacking, followed closely by travel, and often combines the two. He also enjoys skiing, hiking, volleyball, canoeing, scuba diving, sampling local microbrews, and playing with his two dogs. Much of his time is also spent renovating his 100-year old home in SW Portland. He is married to his lovely wife Jana who joins him on most of his adventures, and puts up with his slowly progressing house renovation projects.

Damon Massey, DPT Damon Massey, DPT

Damon was born and raised in Florence, Oregon. He received his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Pacific University and was later accepted into their Doctorate of Physical Therapy program in which he graduated with honors.

Since graduation, Damon returned to Florence for a brief period where he gained experience in an outpatient facility in Coos Bay and through that company started a small clinic in Florence. He then married his wife Ali in 2003 and returned to the Portland area in which his career with North Lake Physical Therapy began. While working at North Lake Physical Therapy he has been involved in treating orthopedic injuries, some neurological rehab and is in the process of becoming McKenzie certified for the evaluation and treatment of spinal disorders with the primary focus of working as a team with his patients and empowering them to take control of their disorder and being able to manage their disorders with their own forces.

Damon has recently had an addition to his family, a beautiful baby boy named Ole and looks forward to being able to share his hobbies of golfing, snow-mobiling, upland game bird hunting with their German Short-hair Pointer Lucy (and occasional big game hunting - of course without the dog!), wakeboarding and rooting on the Trailblazers.

Steven Pierson, PT Steven Pierson, PT

Steve is a co-owner of North Lake Physical Therapy and graduated in 1990 from the University of North Dakota with his Physical Therapy degree after attending Idaho State University for the prior four years. After moving to Portland from near Coeur d'Alene Idaho, he practiced at Kaiser Permanente for three years before joining the North Lake Physical Therapy team in 1993.

He enjoys all aspects of his practice specializing in post-operative orthopedic rehabilitation of knees and shoulders and sports medicine. Of particular interest is educating the patient in long-term management of orthopedic problems.

Steve and his lovely wife love the outdoors and are busy with six children and all their activities. He also plays competitive basketball.

Cheryl Sherwood Kosta, PT Cheryl Sherwood Kosta, PT

Cheryl is the original founder of North Lake Physical Therapy which opened its doors in 1987. She has continuously fostered the highest standards in quality of care and patient respect. With an emphasis on lower extremity biomechanics, Cheryl enjoys work with both orthopedic and neurological populations.

Today, Cheryl spends much of her time at her home in LaGrande, Oregon. However, she continues to work with North Lake as an independent contractor providing her specialized services. She is also a research and marketing consultant to Jones of New York and Easy Spirit, NY.
