Willis Jenkins, PTA
Physical Therapy Assistant, Portland-Pearl District

Willis Jenkins, PTA
Physical Therapy Assistant, Portland-Pearl District

Willis received his Physical Therapist Assistant degree in June 2003 from Mt. Hood Community College. His undergraduate degree is from Oregon State University where he played football and earned a B.S. in Psychology in 1999. In February 2012 he became certified in Kinesio Taping in Atlanta, Ga. He worked at Reid and Yates since June 2012 and joined the North Lake team in 2014 when the clinics merged.

His approach is treating the body as a whole to improve functional dynamic stability. As an active athlete, he has a special interest in running mechanics, plyometrics, balance, and agility training for injury prevention/return to sport. He is currently a member of USA Masters Track and Field. In his spare time, he enjoys training, skateboarding, and designing clothes. His passion for helping patients improve their quality of life and return to sport with better knowledge of biomechanics is where he finds his strengths with physical therapy.

Jessica Luscombe, DPT
Physical Therapist, Portland – Pearl District

Jessica Luscombe, DPT
Physical Therapist, Portland – Pearl District

Jess is a Michigan native, living in the Midwest for most of her life, aside from 8 years on the East coast for high school and the first few years of college. She then returned to MI to receive her BA in Biology and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy both at the University of Michigan. She moved to Oregon in 2010 and has been a PT at North Lake ever since.

Jessica’s clinical interests include orthopedic injuries for all ages, with a passion in treating pelvic and hip instabilities and helping the “everyday athlete” get back to their active lifestyle. Jess has found a skill set through the years in examining and diagnosing movement pattern dysfunctions with an eye for the “micro” compensations. She enjoys looking closely at movement patterns and isolating the small imbalances to lay the foundation for larger functional tasks. In 2014, Jess received her teacher training certification for yoga and often incorporates yoga postures into treatment for patients. She even teaches classes sometimes for the community with a rehab focus and safe return (or intro!) to yoga.

Jess lives with her husband, Ryan, who is also a PT, and their two sons. She enjoys being active, especially hiking and lifting weights, being outdoors, crafting and playing board games with her kids, and cooking.

Vince Blaney, PT
Owner, Clinic Director, Physical Therapist, Portland – Pearl District

Vince Blaney, PT
Owner, Clinic Director, Physical Therapist, Portland – Pearl District

Vince is a Pennsylvania native who attended Misericordia University and completed his undergraduate degree and Master’s degree of Physical Therapy in 1998. Upon receiving his degree he worked for four years, three of which he managed a Sports Medicine Physical Therapy practice in New Jersey. In 2002, Vince migrated West to Oregon where he joined the North Lake team.

Vince’s clinical interests have been diversified through sports medicine, orthopedic rehabilitation, and post-operative rehabilitation with a special focus on endurance athletes and gait analysis. His continuing educational pursuit of gait analysis and running biomechanics has propelled his practice into a leading position in diagnosis and treatment; his educational understanding has also made it versatile enough for the recreational to professional runner. Vince practices at the Pearl District location, in NW Portland, serving the downtown community.

Vince lives in SW Portland with his wife, Kerri, their two sons, Liam and Owen, and their small entourage of animals. In addition to immensely enjoying his profession, he enjoys being active in the great outdoors including: competitive cycling, running, whitewater kayaking and skiing. Vince also involves himself in playing percussion and mandolin.
